Financial Planning is what I do, it is in my blood, and I have been doing it since 1992. I was one of David’s first hires. I had just left a position at Appalachian State University and was looking to the NC Community College system when David and I started discussing this career. It is a cliché, but I truly love helping people; utilizing a financial planning process to work with people regarding one of the core issues folks struggle with: their personal finances, is my calling. What I love about this avocation is you get to develop both clients and friends for life. Most of our clients want, and we work hard to deliver, a long-term planning and advice relationship. I am a native of the Beulah Community in Surry County. My family has farmed there for generations. My husband and I have been blessed to have two fantastic adult children living near enough to us to enjoy them. Besides spending time with my family, my other hobbies include watching Netflix, traveling, reading when I have time, and yoga.
